Direct Response Marketing

Direct Response Marketing is a type of marketing designed to generate an immediate response from customers.

With this type of marketing, advertisers intend to receive an immediate reaction to their advertisement from the customer. This can be, for instant, the purchase of a product, sign-in for a newsletter, search for more product information etc.

Since the marketer-consumer interaction is happening directly within this type of marketing, it enables advertisers to analyze the performance of their product without undergoing a waiting period. The efficiency of direct response marketing campaigns is therefore way easier to analyze than the effect of big branding campaigns that usually do not show a direct user reaction.

Direct response marketing usually requires a bunch of key elements:

  • a product or service being offered
  • customer information
  • a clear call-to-action
  • options for response, etc.

Successful online direct response marketing requires clear goal statements as well as suitable software to control the delivery, tracking and analytics within the whole marketing process.
